Waterproof Stadium Blankets are similar to traditional stadium blankets except they have a nylon outer shell. The inside of the blanket is fleece, and the outside is fleece covered with nylon. If you can imagine a windbreaker with fleece on the inside, that is similar to a Waterproof Stadium Blanket.
A common misconception with waterproof blankets is that they can’t be printed on. This makes sense, because if the blanket repels liquid, how could a liquid ink stick to it right? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We have specialty inks that are designed to adhere permanently to waterproof materials without compromising the water proof nature of the fabric.
Standard Waterproof Stadium Blankets are sized at 50” x 60” and have a reasonable print area of about 40” x 40”. It is our recommendation that when printing for a Waterproof Stadium Blanket project, that you design your art or logo to stay within a 36” to 38” space. This dimension is asthetically pleasing and allows for all logos to look amazing on these blankets.
While AMBRO Manufacturing is capable of printing in multiple colors on stadium blankets, for Waterproof Blankets, only one color print is offered. Since the waterproofing, aka the nylon, is not adhered completely to the fleece like you might see with fabric batting, it slips around on top of the fleece. This does not present an issue for one color blanket printing, but if registration is required for 2 colors or more, it becomes very challenging to produce a blanket with more than one color of print.
