It’s important when shopping for Bandanas Printing services that customers research the capabilities of their chosen provider, because like everything else, not all bandana printers are the same.  Here are the top 3 questions to ask any potential provider of custom bandana services.

Question #1 – What is your maximum bandana printing area?

The answer that you are looking for here is a minimum print area of 20″ x 20″. Anything less than that is going to look … not right.  Most commercial and retail bandanas have a 2″ border. Of course, if you decide to work with us, we can print off the edge of the bandana making it look like your bandana is custom fabric or wrapping paper.  But 95% of the requests we get are for the traditional bandana look.  This look is a 20″ x 20″ print on a 22″ x 22″ bandana.

Question #2 – What type of printing ink do you use?

The answer that you are looking for here, is any type of water-based inks. If you hear the term acrylic inks or discharge inks, then you are good to go. If you hear the term plastisol, that is a hard stop. Plastisol inks are traditional t-shirt inks and are a base of liquid plastic. This is fine for a t-shirt where the print is on the outside of your body, facing out. But for bandanas that are worn on the face, neck or around the head and touch your skin, you are not going to want a plastic based inks.

Question #3 – Where do your bandanas come from and what are they made of?

There isn’t a preferred answer here, it’s more a matter of what is important to you. Here at AMBRO Manufacturing, we make out bandanas here in the USA, right here in New Jersey. Our bandanas are made from 68 x 60, 100% cotton. And the most important aspect of our bandanas are that they are square. Most bandana providers that aren’t us, purchase inexpensive imports that are lower grade cotton, blends or 100% poly, none of these options are optimal.
