So what’s all the buzz about anyway?  Why should you care about discharge screen printing?  First off, its soft.  The industry standard for screen printing is with plastisol inks, which are affordable, vibrant, and easily reused, but they dry somewhat stiff.  On breezy and flowy garments, a stiff print can be a mood killer as it counteracts the lightweight nature of the fabric.  The reason why discharge printing is so soft is due to the fact it is a water-based ink, not microscopic plastic pigments like plastisol inks.  The dye is suspended in water and once the water evaporates away, only the dye in the shape of your design is left behind.
