Need Earth Day Ideas?

1. Challenge yourself to take a disposable item and make something completely new out of it (Thing toilet paper rolls, potato chip bags, yogurt containers, etc.!). Reducing waste is a huge part of what Earth Day is all about!
2. Take a walk outside and really take in the nature. Play baseball with friends, go tubing down the river or even just lay in the grass for a while.
3. Be extra conscious of your energy use. Electricity, running water, waste management—these are all great modern advancements that we use each and every day. But could we make where we are better if we pay closer attention to just how often we’re turning on those lights, running that water and throwing away things that might be recyclable?
4. Go to the library and check out a book on the Earth. Learn about our planet and what we can do to make it a better place. You might be surprised by just how much you didn’t know.
5. And the classic: Plant a tree. It never gets old, and it’s always a good idea (no matter what time of the year it is).

As people who inhabit this beautiful Earth, we have a responsibility to protect it. That’s not just on Earth day—that’s every day.
