Large Format Screen Printing

When considering Large Format Screen Printing, one of the nuances that you have to consider is that each size shirt will need it’s own screen.  Unlike standard size screen printing where you can often use the same screen or set of screens for the entire order, by nature of the all over print designs, each size will need it’s own unique screen set up.

As an example, if your Large Format Screen Printing run has sizes Small, Medium and Large and your design was 3 colors, you would need 9 screens.

Not only does AMBRO Manufacturing specialize in Large Format Screen Printing, we also offer oversized sublimation printing.  Each method of decorating a garment or fabric offers it’s own pros and cons.

Large Format Screen Printing works well on any type of fabric or garment, where large format sublimation printing only works on polyester, poly blends or polyester family members like Rayon, Nylon, Satin etc …

Before starting a jumbo screen printing project, you will want to speak with an expert to ensure that you provide the proper artwork and that you can avoid any issues in advance.  Large Format Screen Printing typically carries a minimum order requirement of 500 pieces, as setting up the jumbo presses for these types of orders takes a good amount of time.  Setting up for 12,24,36 pieces is often difficult.

Many screen printers will claim to be able to provide oversized screen printing, but standard extra large print areas often don’t exceed 25″, unless your screen printing partner has custom made 40″ or larger printing equipment, their offering is technically not Large Format Screen Printing.
