Do you know about dye sublimation printing?  If you don’t it’s a method of printing that uses a specialized dye that sublimates under high temperatures.  When the dye sublimates, meaning a conversion from the solid state to the gaseous state without becoming a liquid, it gets absorbed by the material being printed to lock in the design permanently.  There are a few ways that you can approach sublimation printing, typically either printing onto a pre made garment or printing onto the uncut fabric and then cutting it out and sewing it together, also known as cut and sew sublimation.  But did you ever hear about dye sublimation transfer printing?

Dye sublimation transfer printing is an alternative option for sublimation printing that some designers prefer to implement.  The process is essentially the same, we use a sublimation printer to print out the full artwork onto a heat transfer sheet using the specialized dyes, but instead of heat applying the design onto the garment, we pass it off to you.  From that point you are free to customize your garments as you see fit and on your own time.
